The mission of the Resource and Crisis Center of Galveston County is to promote the safety, well-being and best interest of victims of family violence, sexual assault and child abuse and to advocate for the prevention of such crimes.

A portion of the 8th Annual Galveston Island Food and Wine Festival will be donated to the Galveston County Resource Crisis Center.

It is the mission of the Galveston College Culinary Arts Academy to provide our students with an affordable, practical and realistic education that equips them with the skills necessary to enter the workforce successfully and to excel in their professional and continued educational endeavors. The 8th Annual Galveston Island Food and Wine Festival is presenting a scholarship check to the Galveston College Culinary Arts Academy.

 

Alvin Community College
The culinary arts program prepares individuals for a wide variety of entry level positions in the food service industry. This program provides all of the educational components required for certification through the American Culinary Federation. The objective of the program is to give students an array of culinary and management skills that are utilized in today’s food service industry. The 8th Annual Galveston Island Food and Wine Festival is presenting a scholarship check to the Alvin Community College  Culinary Arts Program.
